I am new to sandrails but i have been riding four wheelers and dirtbikes for a while. Do yall think THIS is a good deal? How fast do you think a 1600cc motor will go? What kinda mods can i do to it to make it go faster? What are some good sites for mods? I am probably going to trade my 2003 honda 400ex for that. I emailed him about it, and when i find out more info i will post, please help, i dont wanna get ripped off

It seems like a pretty decent deal. See if you can test drive it BEFORE you commit. or at least get a test ride. As far as the motor it's not going to be a speed demon. If it's geared right you could probably get 65 MPH out of it. You only looking at about 60 - 80 HP. Up side is it comes with a trailer. If it runs, i think i would make him an offer of $4,000. That would give it a great place to start. As far as the engine, you can take it to House of Buggies and they can punch the motor out to all kinds of options. I think if i was you i'd have them pump it up to a 1915 with a Hot cam. you can do that pretty cost effective and it's not killer HP to where you'll have to change the tranny.

The trailer alone is worth at least a grand.

I almost completely agree with Alan on this, but I might be tempted to stroke it a little more icon_biggrin.gif

That also looks like a good frame to do a mid-travel conversion on later as $$'s permit.
