what were the new pmv plant counts for this season does anyone know? they should be very good comepared to last season .. we had a lot of rain right ? well they determine if the dunes well be reopened? thanks.. any other stuff going to happen before the new season..?

No, the plant counts do not have anything to do with the closures that are currently in place, although the plant itself does, in an abstract kind of way. blink.gif

The plant was the tool used in the lawsuit that closed 49,000 riding acres and the only thing that will lift those closures is for the BLM to complete certain procedures, which they have done.

The only thing keeping those closures in place at this time is a pending lawsuit against using the "No Jeopardy" Biological Opinion from the Fish & Wildlife Service. The Biological Opinion is one step in the process that would complete the procedures I mentioned.

That lawsuit goes back to court in September/October and all indicates from the BLM are that they are planning on removing the closure stakes early next season.
