I was thinking about using sway-a-way shocks in the car I’m building. Not sure if I should or not. Does any body know anything about sway-a way’s.

Used to hear some complaints that they would leak but havent seen anything about that in a couple years now. KG has 'em on his buggy and they seem to be doing fine. Most the shocks are built very similar so performance doesnt much change.

King is favored in these parts because of their customer support, they will usually revalve and spring the first time for free which is pretty cool (not sure if the others do that or not). You'll probably talk with one of the Kings when you call them too.

Race Runner is the name of the shocks that Sway-A-Way produces. They have fixed the problem with the leaky seals and i've seen them a lot on off-road applications recently.

I would definately check em out.

I herd that they leaked to but I didn’t know if they still had the same problem. I can get them a lot cheaper than kings that’s why I'm thinking of using them. If kings a worth the extra money I’ll just go with them.

My buddy had the older Race Runners on his LT and they didn't work very well, valving issue's builder never fixed.
But the new Race Runners look very impressive, depends on your budget???
If money ain't an issue go with Kings and don't risk it... thumb.gif

I have them and besides them leaking a bit I haven't had any problems with them. I revalved them and is imporved the ride a ton. I have to change all the seals to get rid of the leaks but other than that I don't have any complaints about them.

Josh, as you know Sway-A-Way is a new sponsor at Wizard Schools. I just had a meeting last week with Ryan from Sway-A-Way, and one of our discussions was their past reputation. It seems that in the past, the most common complaints were the leaky shocks, my self included. Since Ryan has taken over the marketing, they have greatly improved quality control and customer service.
An important aspect of our sponsor program is that they maintain quality in product and customer service. After speaking with Ryan in depth on this subject, I'm very happy with what they have to offer. We are currently putting together a large shock display in the welding lab with working models of their newest products.
