Man, that's still 2 more wide bodies. I need the Superlite crews to chime in... Thanks for the updated info though! What is the original tire size on the stock rims you have now?
Thanks!

The tires that came off are 225/75R15 on 15" rims. They are actually in great shape - the spare is brand new because I nailed the stump of a manzinita bush and one of the stubs pierced a sidewall. Those bushes are like steel!

I'll clean them up and post them for sale.

Here's a shot of the Goodyear's they put on today:

And the clearance:

Rims are Pacer 16" x 7" Aluminum Mods - #058 3000 lb load.
Tires: Goodyear Unisteel® G149 RSA 225/75R16

I had to weld up a small part to fit through the tang on the spare carrier to make that work. The new tire is a bit too wide for that carrier.

Those Michelins are the exact tires I put on my 39" GearBox when I bought it in Jun 09. Mine were pricey, (July 09) $1800 for all 6, certificates, etc. I'm very pleased with the way they tow, and with any amount of weight I put in the trailer.

Have you ever lost traction on a bicycle? For me, the rear tire fish tails and the bike is on the ground. I dont know if the weight of the motor would help... but I would feel better knowing I had good traction on the rear wheel.

Getting ready to do the tire thing .I have a 07 WW with 15 inches rims . Why are you guys changing the rims to 16 inch ? Cant I just get better tires and not change my rims to ? What is the benefit to going to a 16 inch rim ?
Rockwood
Better tire selection with higher load ratings, especially in an LT tire.
lincster
LT tires are far superior to ST tires. Especially the XPS Rib. It has steel belts in the case instead of polyester.

Start by looking at the tags on your trailer and see how much it weighs. Then look at the ratings on your tires, and see what they can hold. Youll figure it out on your own REAL quick!!

We already did all the homework for you. Check out the date on the first post in this thread. It was money very well spent!!

For those have converted to 16" rims and LT tires, has it been worth it? I cant get a year out of my tires on a fs3000. I see that warrior lifestyle has 16" warrior rims. I dont want to lift the trailer so rubbing is a concern.
