Just picked up a set of new wheel bearings for my New IRS car. My last car had racing rear trailing arms that used timken roller bearings on both ends of the stub axle, so Iam not familar with a stock set up.

I ended up with 2 ball bearing sets and 2 bearings that have an elongated rod shape bearing rather then a round ball. All 4 bearings look to be the same width. Of course it came with spacers and O rings and gaskets, etc. My question is "does the round ball bearing sets go on the CV side of the stub axle (Inside) and the elongated bearing sets on the wheel side? or visa versa? Or did they sale me a set of bearings and spacers for a swing axle setup???"

They sold you the right stuff. The roller bearing goes to the outside (wheel), while the ball bearing goes to the inside (CV).
