I'm taking my golf cart into the shop to have the motor rebuilt and there's really not much they can do to a 10 year old cart. What I need is some suggestions from you guys to get more power out of a stock cart motor.

Come on guys lets do some brain storming here I need more speed and toque.
Dunegoat
1. get your fat ass out and push it.

2. tow it behind your rail?

I'm surprised you even had to ask.

Chrome it, of course.

Haha kiddies. tongue.gif I need to know what I can do before I drop it off, I WANT MORE POWER OUT OF A STOCKIER, if thats possible. blink.gif

I'm going to have them bore it out as much as they can without effing it up and doing a rejet but there must be something else I can have them do and that's what I'm asking for here...

Its only metal. Anything can fit if you got a welder and skills..

Call Mikey or PM the guy. they do that stuff all the time to carts.. Maybe he can help, maybe he cant - regardless - its worth asking..

Now, If Im 1/2 as good looking as you by the time Im your age - Im good to go.. icon_smile.gif

I hear a good banshee motor can really wake a golf cart right up!

I too have a 93 G9. I've been thinking about a snowmobile motor. Same type of clutch but now you have to factor in a cooling system. It moved along fine till the 10" lift. Go figure.
brokebrotha
mr dune.

I just inherited a golf cart myself and I think it the same model as yours. Yamaha G9. I cannot get the bottom seat open to look at the motor or battery. Can you tell me how to do it? I would also be interested in making a conversion on this thing as well so let me know how things go with it.

here a website if found with a bunch of stuff for them:

Marc, in back of the passenger seat in a hatch open it and you will find a lever pull up on it and that will let you open the seat to get to the motor. That's the way it works on mine, I'll have it with me Friday you can see for yourself...
Crowbar
ok, so I want an update......so how's the wife?
