First, I had to buy those wheels from throwinrox then...
No prob with putting the tires on , just airing them up, bead wouldn't seat.

ghettobuggy may have some pics of what happens to a hand and knee when a rim comes apart

he had six weeks off work to think about what he did

Not bad at all, let us know how it holds up after a couple rides. I did my steering stem and my subframe and they seem to be holding up. My subframe hasnt chipped at all, but i do have a few little chips in the steering stem.

It looks like the stock silver on most of the frames. THe light grey/silver. PJ1 sells stock color paint.
now get a nice bumper and some shock covers to hide that ugly yellow and he will be set.

Is their a clear coat type spray that you can put over....almost like a sealer?
Thinking of doing this to a set of mine.

You can get the Car Color clear coat rattle can from auto stores - really works good and holds up well

Maybe I'll do that...but the Rustoleum can recommends not putting on a clear coat

but I guess, Why not?
SHOCKER
Jul 21 2005, 04:49 PM
I dont see why it would hurt it. But im no scientist.
Rustoleum paint is really strong. Compared to dupli-color i think rustoleum is alot stronger and thicker. Those rims look friken great, i cant believe how god they came out. Have you considered being a painter for a living.

They usually recomend no clear coat if it's going over something with a sheen to it (semi gloss, satin, etc.) paint won't stick too well and comes out uneven. If you take some fine grit sand paper to it, you might be able to get it roughed up enough to work good.
