I had never really heard of it until I bought my trailer.
I felt it was a tad misleading when I was told by the dealer "we donate $25 to Action for every trailer sold" when in fact I paid that $25. Not a biggie I guess as I do like to help where I can to keep land open.
madmax-you mentioned that WW donates a large chunk to Action. I'd imagine it's a nice tax write off for them. How can it be a write off if the customers are actually paying for that?
How much of this has gone directly to help the dunes? or is it just given to one org and they figure out the best way to use it?
Can org's request money from Action for land issues?

Let me correct you there, Weekend Warrior not only buys the tags to place on their toyhaulers, they also over and above donate big money into the program. Mark W also donates a huge chunk of his own dough into not only the Action Program but others as well including ASA, CORVA ect.
The Action Program is the fuel that "grants" to organizations to fight to keep public lands open for everyone to enjoy. Action is national, not just the dunes all areas around America although alot of funding has gone into keeping the local deserts open.
