Thats what it seems like to me though I admittidly only watched one interview.
I caught a show called basecamp on the National Geographic Channel last night. I only caught about 10 minutes of it but what I saw was a joke. The interviewer was interviewing Leslie James Pickering, spokesman for the E.L.F. This guy looks to be between twenty and twenty five years old. How he became the "spokesman", I don't know but he obviously was about as brainwashed as a man could be.
He stated that he first started his path as a teenager writing letter campaigns but didn't think that did any good. He then started joining in those protests where the protesters set out to get arrested by impeding progress till he figured out that was a silly way to get things done (Bravo Einstein). Thats when he got involved with the E.L.F.
When asked how he was educated, he told the interviewer that his education came from schooling and the information that was delivered by "Mainstream Enviromental Groups". It doesn't sound to me like this kid has done any research into anything. He relies on what maistream enviro groups (I assume the Sierra Club, C.B.D, and the like) shove into his mind. The word sheeple comes to mnd.
The interviewer asked him if he had ever started anything on fire and Leslie replied that he had started a camp fire. He hadn't taken part in any of the car and building burnings because his place was as a spokesman, someone in the public eye. Way to go Leslie, let the sheep that follow your every word jump on the grenade.
When asked why he agrees with the violent nature of what E.L.F. does, he insisted that if a paint company was going to pollute the river which in turn was going to give his grandparents cancer, then that paint company needed to be stopped and since big business won't police themselves in a proper manner (Seems he has decided all by himself what is the proper way to go about policing business), groups like E.L.F. are right in blowing up the business. The interviewer then asked him why was he convinced that people get cancer from polluted rivers or paint or whatever when science hasn't proven a link between the two. Good ol Lesie replied that he does't need a scientist to draw a line for him, he can see it with his own two eyes.
It scares me that a terrorist organizaion like E.L.F. has people like this guy working for them. When asked why he feels he has the ability to speak for the E.L.F. when he is at the age where he wouldn't be trusted to manage a walmart, he just smiled.
