I found this stock tank to a 88' 250r and I got a question about it. Will it fit my 86' 250r? It also says it doesn't come with any hardware, will the old hardware off the tank on there now work?

I just checked at www.servicehonda.com and found that all tanks are the same except the colors.

Your old hardware will bolt right up to this tank.

I gotta ask though, are you sure there's enough fuel in there for you? I mean a stock tank is only 2.4 gallons including the reserve. I've got the IMS 3.6, it isn't ugly, and really adds a lots of dunes to the ride before I run out.

Also, Clarke Manufacturing has a 4.0 tank for less money than the IMS.

Thank you for your help. I would like to get the bike back to stock. I don't mind having less gas, because I ride with guys that own LT250's and we know when its time to come back to camp. Forget it though, it was going for 37.00, I put a bid for 40.00, his big went higher then mine. I'm not paying anymore for it.
