putting turbo back together, want to use stainless bolts for the anti rust factor. is there any reason not to do this ?. any problems with breakage from heating cooling cycle ? if anyone has any advice please let me know. the bolts that were in there were m8, with 8.8 stamped on them, they were holding up fine except for the rust.

If you are going to use stainless, put a crap load of anti-seize compound on the treads. Those babies like to gall up!

One thing to keep in mind when using stainless fasteners, when they get stuck (gall), they are much harder to extract. If a bolt breaks off, the mild steel will be much easier to deal with. No matter what the material, use PLENTY of anti-seize!

I would not use stainless it is a veary brittle material and the heat just makes it worse.

Use the mild steel bolts and some model silver paint on the heads of the bolts.
