i have had many requests for a real 5 seater, and this is how i thought about doing it without making the chassis ugly and jumbo wide-center the driver and put a passenger off to either side, with the two rear seats in the same spot as usual. now would this be accepted and bought or rejected and not bought? this isnt the real chassis either,i am just playing.please give feed back

would seem to have too long of a wheel base that way but if youve got that figured out might be kinda cool!

I think it would be extremely long, kind of like a 4 seat Buckshot X-3.

my car is 71" wide where the rear seats are, and 102" wide with paddles, meaning its only about 10" wider than a normal long travel, which isnt a whole lot.

I dunno about that.

How much wider would this be than your 4 seater? Here's how I'm envisioning things.

Most people don't need to haul around 5 full sized adults, if they have 3 kids, they're smaller and a bench seat works OK, or if they want to haul some adults, 2 can fit in the bench.

With this layout, this chassis is gonna be longer than a 4 seater, with all of the problems that brings, trailering, turning, etc. Unless you've got some way to shorten it somewhere else.

JMHO.

I love your cars, hope to get a ride in one of the 2 seaters some day.

i hear ya,but quite a few people have requested it,so i am trying to figure it out or just continue to use the bench.i dont think i will have to increase the wheelbase or the length of the car too much, but i havent done it yet! by the way here is a crappy picture of the mid-engine that will definetly be done for new years!
