It could also be way lean and surging a bit. You might want to pull your plug and check.

Sell it and get a DS650
Of course then you will have fans that go out and clutches that slip and sand that gets into throttle cables and sticks and and and and ...... :| :|

Sounds like you have sand in the throttle cable making it bind. Easy way to check is disconnect em at the carbs and push/pull the cable. If it slides both ways easily, the cables are fine.
You could also have sand in the throttle assembly. Do you have a twist throttle on it or stock thumb throttle?
One other thing if it isn't something binding is a broken throttle return spring.
If it isn't lean like shane-o suggested, I think it would have to be something I named.

funny chummin. First of all thank for the replies everyone. Fireballsocal, it is a stock thumb throttle. I have checked the return spring, it is fine. I'll check the cable like you said. Hopefully that is it. By the way I've tryed Wd-40.

This might be a longshot since you say it sticks when warm, everytime I put new grips on my Raptor, I have to trim them bucause the thumb throttle gets stuck on the grip.
MY BANSHEE'S THROTTLE WORKS JUST FINE... I KNOW THEY'RE THE SAME... BUT MY BANSHEE'S THROTTLE WORKS FINE

HEY kilapest , THAT IS A VERY GOOD POINT I'LL CHECK. USUALLY IT'S THE MORE COMMON SENSE THING THAT I DON'T CHECK. I'LL LET YOU KNOW IF THAT WAS IT. THANKS.
SAL HOW DOES YOUR BANSHEE WORK

OK I am new to the board but I am not that new to this problem. Check your end play and cable free play on the clutch. I had a wreck and did not recheck the freeplay on the clutch and that clutch was partly engaged all of the time. It did not show up until the motor was hot and it would rev higher and would "jump" at the clutch release when shifting into first and second. Ended up spending 300 on a new clutch and discs having them (alba) do the work. Ended up getting Yamaha to pay part of it and now have the heavy clutch parts from Yamaha
