I needed to know what the stock setting are for the raptor? I am getting a new pipe and just wanted to know what the stock setting for the dual carbs was so i could dial it in easier. With the dual carb set up is it one carb for one valve and the other carb for the other 2 valves? thanks

correct about the carb/valve thing. jetting may vary with location of delivery. if I remember correctly mine was 150 main in left carb 155 in the right.
I have an LRD exhaust, k&n filter, open airbox and i'm at 170 on the left 175 on the right and had to go up 2 sizes on the pilots.

the instructions with a jet kit should be pretty detailed, that may be one of the kits that uses a different jet size rating than standard mikuni.

but here is basically what you are in for :

remove fuel line [shut off fuel first]

open drain screws, catch fuel

remove tank [not necessary to remove front plastic]

rmove throttle cable [three screws on triangular plate on left side] remove cable from cam.

loosen clamps on carb front and back. [careful not to tear boots]

remove carbs, turn over [some gas will still pur all over the place even though you drained the bowls] put rags under before you turn over.

remove all bowl screws [careful, use a new screwdriver they round out easily]

pay attention to the splash shield on the jet, how it's positioned.

pay attention to which carb has the bigger jet, it's the one on the right in mounted position, will be on the left upside down.

install new mains.

make sure there is no crap in the cover, clean reinstall.

if it comes with new needles, they are accessed throught the top.

round cover on top, remove screws.

lift out springs

lift out rubber diaphram, the needle will come with it.

look inside the rubber thing there is a piece of plastic in there, it has an oring on it, pull straight up with a pair of needle nose . i believe there is another little spring under there don't lose it.

pay attention to the little washer position, with relation to the needle. i believe it's
under the c-clip

pay attention to the c-clip position on the needle.

remove c-clip install on new needle and put it back together.

guess i should have said this first, spread a sheet on a table, or under the carbs wherever you work on them, the small springs and c-clip tend to get lost very easily, take the time to make a clean workspace or you'll spend alot of time looking for the parts you dropped.

see nothin too it. good luck
