My pops bought some new filter oil. I wasnt paying attention and it was for foam filters. I put it on our K&N filters.
Are the K&N's ruined or can they just be cleaned and re-oiled witht he correct stuff?

You can clean em up with some good cleaner like costcos oil eater or simple green. Both cleaners need hot water to make em work.

so, regular K&N oil cleaner wont work?

It might, I don't use K&N's so I haven't tried em. I do know the stuff I've mentioned will and are bio-degradable so they're safe. Just don't inhale the oil eater. Give the K&N stuff a try.
