How many hours before changing oil? How many hours before changing spark plugs? Should I drain the antifreeze how often? Grease chain? Re-pack muffler? Change brake fluid or add more?

i usually judge my fluids and stuff by how many trips i have on it. like for the oil i change it for every big weekend but i i make a day trip i dont bother. spark plugs can vary. some people change them per trip and some change them per season. i change them per season if everything goes well i also rotate 2 or 3 sets during the season to keep all them up and useful. grease the chain is important. i take it off and soak it in 90 wieght oil for a few days then let it out to drip. then put it on. i do this about 2x a season. other than that i put PJ1 on it and it works fine to me.draining the anti-freeze is something i havent done yet. ive gone 2 years on mine but i watch the level its at though. repacking the muffler is something that is done only when needed. judging by your name you one a DS650 so it should have a level on the brake fluid rez.. watch that to see if you need any.

this is how i run my bike and havent had any problem but everyone runs theirs alittle different.

I change my oil after every other trip. My spark plug once a season and my chain I only spray it with WD-40 to keep the rust off. It's a 520 X-ring so no lub is required. I change my coolent and brake fluid every other season. In 17 yrs I haven't had any problems doing it this way...

Hey Scott, i don't want any dirt on it, not even in the motor. I like my quad clean inside and out. LOL
