Too Cool Slappy! I remember. We used to take the shorty beach chairs and sit on the berms to watch the drags. REAL DRAGS, not a parade. The strip is still there, I wish someone would run them again.

My brother was telling me he was out at the Sand Drags (behind the store) Thanksgiving Weekend in '82 or '83. Said the wind had picked up and blew the starting line tower (booth) over, in to a Motorhome. Him and his buddy rode Honda 110's all over the dunes, one of the best times hes had out there. Man times have changed!
