How close did ya get on this one? And was this near Brawley Slide Hill? Reason bein is dat Slap has been visiting a youngen over in that area a few times this year. Kinda be lookin like him. It be all about patience ain't it Rooster...

OOOHHH hot damn Mr. Red sure takes a slapptacious picture.

Ya know Rooster, Slap sure do love dat other pic of Mr. Red, and the SSSS is a comin quick, and Slap is hopin dat you are up for a new one to display in the booth if dats alright? He sure was a hit...(well, he told Slap dat you took the picture of his best side  )

Slap knows it ain't easy gettin him to stay still, but you sure got the nac for getting him to pose for ya Rooster, slappified job.

Yep, Mr Red Tail sure can be cmaera shy. I got this one down between wash 3&4 , on the trail going to Old's. He just sat there and watched me as I got out of the buggy got the camera out and I slowly walked to about 100 yards, eased my camera up and gottcha. He set there as to say you can have this one for now, spread his wings and up he went. It felt like he knew I ment no harm. He only give me the one shot.
I figured he knew we needed a new shot for the show. He knew I would share it with Slappy and all the gang. I seen him in the area a couple more time but one of those loud Banshee things scared him up. I'll try for a couple more and maybe have a couple more for the show. We'll see if Mr Red Tail will help out.
If you look close you can see the glimer in his eye. There is the presents of good in him. You can sometime feel him watching you as much as he feels you watching him.

Rooster what kind of camera you have???

I try to bring my Camera to work every day but sometimes I forget and guess what.. its on those days He is hanging with the gang off the 56.. just like last night.. AND
when TrojanNeck (aka RubberNeck) was over buying a bike, and one of two that hang out by my house each spring showed up(a little early).. All the Ravens were ticked to say the lease and they buzzed him on the pole for a while. He just sat there with attitude knowing he could whoop up on any of them at any time.. I went to get camera.. Guess what? batteries are dead :.(.

I need a camera that can take a pic like that at a 100 yrds soon cuz they should be coming back any day now..

I see Mr. Red or members of his family ALL the time but I can never get a shot off. SOON I hope...

For anyone else interested in Mr Red.. He is part of the show at the wild Animal park.. He does a great demo to show just how smart he is.. Incredable to say the least..

I use a Canon EOS Rebel G. I use a 28 t0 80 Tamron zoom lense and a Tamron 100 to 300 zoom lense. I use a filter that is Skylight #18 and sometimes use a 80 A , for red light conditions.
For this photo I used the 100 to 300 and the Skylight filter, I use 100spd most of the time but this photo was 800spd . I like the 100 even at night for the better Quailty. I have a 600 fixed I use some time but it is heavy to carry around. The 100 to 300 zoom is best for all around shots. I used a 5.6 setting and this takes out the back ground. Hope this helps.
