does anyone have a prowler yet! and is it better than the rhino

The Prowler SMOKES the Rhino!!!!!!
Squatcher
I have both. The prowler is great machine. Only issues I have with it are the seats, seat belts and roll cage sucks. Other than those issues it kicks the rhinos butt. Great suspension, power is great, looks good and the headlights are much better. goto ridesidebyside.com there are a few comparisons on that site. Lots of other great features, built in cooler, 2" hitch front and back. The prowler jumps way better than a rhino. If you are going to leave the machine stock and not spend more money on them than get the Prowler. Check them out before buying anything. Still can't go wrong with a rhino.

I have got the Prowler. I had originally posted my thoughts/review here

Since then I have it out more and can still say that I am very much impressed. Although I still like the looks of the Rhino better, for all other features, especially suspension and travel, the Prowler is hard to beat. It amazes me how well the suspension works when jumping. IMO it definately is an all around better duner. I have had little problem climbing some of the bigger hills that I have seen stock Rhinos with aftermarket CDI struggle with.

The only thing I don't like is the lack of aftermarket parts and the height of the rollbar. I have added better seat belts and lighting. Next is leg minders and possibly lowering the rollbar 3 inches-after that I will probably leave it alone.

I also like the idea having something a little different since everybody else I know has the rhino-it makes for better trash-talking around the campfire at night.

Also, I errored on my original post in saying the Prowler had a 36 month warranty. The dealer told me this when making the sale, although I later found out the Prowler was exempt and only had the same as the Yamaha (6 monthes).

Anyway, I think you will like the Prowler-but you can go wrong with the Rhino either. If I could change one thing on both of them would be to have a rear differential. Mine is street legal in AZ but I don't drive it as much as I would like to because it eats up tires on asphalt.

We have been looking for a prowler just to look at- we probably would buy one but around town here in the phx area there seems to have a shortage of them and to even see one you have to put your nam on a waiting list !!!! to make sure you can get one then you have to put some $$$ down - but hard to do if we havn't even seen one.

My new Prowler is coming in the mail... I haven't seen one in person but I bought one anyways. I figure if I don't like it, so many people want them it would be a quick sale. I bought it from Tousley Motorsports in Minnesota.

We ended up buying a used prowler today from a private seller here in AZ- we got the red one -never riden at the dunes but just around the desert in North Scottsdale area- Husband is really psyched, even let me drive it around the block...once. Next step is to get it in the toyhauler for the dunes tomorrow.

Well how did it do? We had a great time with ours at Glamis this last week. It amazes me how well the suspension works when jumping.

Just Ride It
Rudebob -- I am KittKatts husband and the the new Prowler did really well over the weekend. I did not do any real jumping yet and spent a lot of time in the smaller dunes near Ogilby and tooling around to the hills and drags. We put over a 100 miles on it in two days. I really like the ride and it handles really good in the sand. The next trip out I will get it out in the bigger dunes some. I have never driven anything like that and wanted to take it easy the first time out. Everyone who did get in it loved the ride, seating and handling. I think I want to add some better belts to it, just to feel a little more secure.

All and all very pleased with the new toy.

Thanks for the input and offer to take a look at yours.

I love this thing the more I ride it. Well the trip to the dunes was great as predicted the Cat jumped all over the rhinos and I was leading the whole weekend. This is the way to go at the dunes my rhino buddies wouldn't jump the jumps I did with the Cat. I keep my rhino in camp for a spare while I used my Prowler all weekend. I too put 150 miles on it this weekend. It climbed comp hill at buttercup when I put the tires at 4 psi. I hope I can load this picture. I have about 10 jump pictures. I installed 5 points and a T bar for the trip. Great machine can't wait for all the aftermarket stuff to hit.

I can't wait to have my fun...

We had alot of fun last weekend in ours, put 100 miles on it w/o knowing it- The hubby had it out on the small dunes and I know he has plans for the bigger dunes, when ever he was out in the dune area he had people look because he wasn't taking the easy way out, he was really dunning with it.
