Hey Jason, I would look at swperformance and fab, they have a link in here, talk to Casey. They have sweet deals on honda v-6's, I know that the N/A 2.5 suby is more of a torque motor than the zoomy 2.0 turbo's, the honda v-6's have a similar power curve to the 2.5 suby, and go-fast parts are cheaper. Might be a valid alternative to a suby. But for the suby you should call ORBS in Yuma, they usually have a 2.5 or two there. Outback is, of course, the most popular.
GLAMISCOYOTE
I am looking too. Do you have the number for ORBS in Yuma?

Mr. RG,

What kind of power are you looking for? You can just swap most of your 2.0 parts over to a 2.5 block and get ~300hp. Order up a 2.5 long block.
GLAMISCOYOTE
I would be very happy with 300Hp. Is that an Outback deal for the longblock? I do want to use my turbo also.

I'm picking up a motor friday
SOHC 2.5 N/A already set up for a turbo but does not come with one
I just have to add radiator, computer fuel pump and exhaust
But the wife says last night if a turbo don't cost that much just add it icon_biggrin.gif
I want to keep it under 220HP more like 200HP as i still have a built 002 trans. thats next seasons upgrade............don't tell the wife though
Sand Diva
Who did ya end up getting the new motor from???
Sand Diva
Congrats on the new motor.

Yeah, you could order a 2.5 long block from Outback and swap over your parts. You’ll have to use your intake to make all the plumbing line up. Then hit the dyno and re-tune your computer.

Don’t know what Outback gets for a 2.5, I’m guessing upwards of $1500 for the long block. You are hard pressed to get a used 2.5 for less than $1200

give Balistic Motors in Orange a call. They specialize in subarus and doing retrofits into existing chassis's. Their # is 714-532-0177
