Hey guys, just about the last thing I have to do on my car is mount the radiator. It is on a Chenowth explorer with a 4.3L V-6. I dont have much room, it will have to stick up in the back between the engine and fuel tank directly behind the rear seat.

If anyone has any pictures of mounts they want to share, lets see them. I can build most anything, so my options for mounts are pretty open. Its an Griffin radiator with draw thru fan.

Thanks Sandman, any close ups of the mounts?

Never mind the kids, but if you look in the back ground you can see the radiator mounted to tabs with rubber vibration isolator bolts. I picked them up at Kartek. The second pic shows the mounts without the radiator. The radiator and shroud all came from sand cars unlimited with the inlet and outlet on the bottom.

Go with Scotty's setup. The rest of the car could be crumpled into a ball before those ever move. LOL laugh.gif
Sometime Soon
Tuck it in behind the rear seats low enough to sufficiently exhaust and allow viewing out the rear.

You say it's a Griffin radiator. Please tell me what model, where you got it, and (if you don't mind) what you paid. I'm almost to this point too with my Chenowth Explorer and need to start figuring out what radiator to get. How did you pick what size you need? I assume that's based on the size and horsepower of the engine. I'm running a supercharged 3.8 so I'll be the same radiator would work for my application too.
Thanks

Well Otto, dont get what I have which is a griffin aluminum with the indents on the outer tubbs. Its 19" x 31", and its making things difficult. I got a good deal on it and with all the other projects I have going at once, cash is getting low and I cant afford to get a different set up right now. plthumbsdown.gif

The radiator has a deep chanel the entire width on the top and bottom that I am using bar on the bottom that it will be resting on, along with some thick strips of rubber. I want to do that on top also with a turn barrel set up to put down tension so it locks it all together, I just havnt figured out how to do that yet. I need some more ideas.
It has to be mounted in the area it is because I have no room behind the seat and I still have to have my fuel tank between the seat and the radiator. Its a tight squeez, but it all will fit.
