I am trying to organize a ride with the crew that will be in Glamis to run down to Gordons to say hi to the south dunes peeps. We will be leaving Friday morning at 9:00 so that should put us in the south around 10:00 (we will be hitting some dunes along the way).

I figured the easiest place to meet up would be the start line at the Gordons drags. Since you guys are planning on grooming it for us anyway, you should still be there

What do you think?

All you guys have to do is hang out for awhile and meet us. Maybe when we all get there we might just start our own friendly drags right then and there.

If we line up at a standing start a few times, the jump will be huge in no time.

I fear that if I get close to that area Ripster will make me use a shovel. It might be best if I hide somewhere until they are done

Where will you be camping at? From Olds, it takes about 50 min. I would guess. About 30 from Gecko rd area. This is just a guess because I never timed it.

It took us 30min to go from Gordons to the end of Gecko.
We were crusing along in 3rd. GPS said about 37mph.

if I remember right its about 25 miles from the Gecko loop to Gordons, so from our starting point at Olds, provided there arent any issues it should take about an hour to get to the south at a steady pace everyone can hang with, the sand highway is alot of whoops the whole way down, I think I am going to head for the canal and take the canal road down, its much smoother.

on thanksgiving weekend sunday we did a run from ogilby to glamis and then to gordons it was about 62 miles and the sand hwy was pretty smooth there was some woops but not bad at all we were able to cruise at 40 to 50mph
