Shannon, Mike and Angel.
Shannon is a friend and a long time riding buddy. My heart broke when I received the call from one of our friends. We all know the risk we take for the sport we love. Last year I bought a sand car and my biggest fear is coming together with a rider or another vehicle. With the ever growing population of Sand Fanatics we need to make sure that everyone is safe. Safety is in the hand of all of us, But the BLM must be there when we need them. I will be writing to BLM as well as the Governor and anyone else that will read my letters. I am sorry for your loss and will think of Kyle every time I hit the sand….

MY DAUGHTER KASSI IS HAVING A HARD TIME AND STILL HAS TO GET THRU SCHOOL WITH ALL THIS. ONE OF HER ASSIGNMENTS IS SHE HAS TO WRITE POEMS, LIKE 20 OF THEM......
ANYWAY SHE ASKED ON HER WEBSPACE FOR HELP. I THINK WHATS SHE IS LOOKING FOR IS HELP WRITING SOMETHING ABOUT HER BROTHER, OR JUST THE LOVE OF THE SPORT, BEING A MOTO HEAD....WHAT GOES THRU YOUR MIND AS YOUR ON BIKE GOING THRU A BOWL.
ANYWAY I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE COOL TO ASK FELLOW DUNERS FOR HELP. EVEN IF WE GET PIECES WE COULD PUT THEM TOGETHER AND MAKE SOMETHING. JUST WHATS ON YOUR MIND WHEN YOU RIDE.
I KNOW ME FOR ONE IF YOU CUT ME I DONT BLEED, I THINK GEAR OIL COMES OUT INSTEAD. THATS WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE ADDICTED TO THE SPORT.
THANKS AGAIN

You should read Slappy's Neighborhood. There are quite a few poems/songs/stories that would really give you the feeling of the dunes.
Don't forget to look through the archives.

I'm so sorry for you guys,
I can only imagine the pain you’re going through. Someone has said the deepest agony on earth is burying one’s own child. I’m sure that now you’re numbed by the suddenness, by the weight of the loss, and by the decisions facing you.
My you find the streanth in each others arms
my son ride out there on a 2 wheel also, and I'm always worried when he goes without me, and he's 19, don't think I'll stop worring untill he's 99

I MISS HIM WITH EVERY BREATH I TAKE. WE BOTH STILL HAVE TO REMEMBER AS HARD AS THIS IS ON US, KASSI LOST A BROTHER AND HER BEST FRIEND. WE SHOULD GET HER SOME TICKETS TO GO TO SUPERCROSS. SHE WAS SAVING HER MONEY TO TAKE HER LITTLE BROTHER. I KNOW IT WONT BE THE SAME FOR HER WHEN SHE GOES, BUT LETS LOOK INTO GETTING SOME TICKETS. For all of you who have read this thread know that Shannon Bargsten is my son Kyle's stepdad. Shannon was racing out at Grange yesterday Super Motar and had an accident. Shannon has ridden bikes since he was very young and knows his stuff. He was air lifted to Arrowhead hosptil in Colton. He will be fine but please keep him in your prayers too. They are going to do surgery to his leg tomorrow. Knowing Shannon, do or die he will be there on the 21st for our Celebration for Kyle's life. His girlfriend MaryAnn is taking great care of him, just wanted you to know. He must be somewhat ok because he is still awnry as hell. I will always care and love him even if we have our faults. Issues seem so petty in the big picture of life right now, losing my son and Shannon in the hospital. The thing that worried me the most is my daughter. She loves Shannon and on top of losing her brother/best friend, she wouldnt want anything to happen to Shannon. So say a little prayer that he fights hard and will be with us on Saturday.
Thanks again for everyones support

Vicki that was so wonderful to read. I hope Kasey's family is doing as well as can be expected. My heart goes out to them as well. Im glad to know that Kyle has a great guy as riding partner in heaven.....
WOW, Where do I begin to say thank you to all of you for coming today and celebrating our sons life with us. And how do I even begin to thank you all for everything you have done to make our gathering everything Kassi wanted it to be for her little brother. Jim just said to me that even though he knew Kassi and Kyle were close, he really didn't understand himself how close they were for a brother and sister until now. And seeing she just lost her best friend as well as her brother. We just talked about how they chose to do stuff together more than go out do stuff with their friends. Kassi still cries at night. And she will be returning to Orange County High School of the Arts next week, so that will be good for her. But today was more for her than anybody, and again I cant thank you enough for all your efforts.
I'm so sorry that I didn't have more time to spend with some of you and talk. It was a bit overwhelming at the number of people there and I was spread a bit thin. I hope you understand.
My goal right now is Kassi..... not sure where to go from here. But we are planning to have Kyle's 16th Birthday party at Glamis. We have already heard from a number of people that they would like to be there. Some are even renting motor homes to go. I'm so thankful that we have such good friends.
This Monday the 23rd is the Tree Planting Ceremony at Orange High School and the ROTC teacher informed me they are doing a Color Guard and playing Taps. We all are so surprised by the number of friends he made and teachers he impressed at Orange High since he has only gone there for such a short period of time.
Anyway, again all our love and thanks.

You did wonderful the entire day.You were all so strong and brave standing on that stage recalling all the fond memories of Kyle. It was a day that will stay with us for a lifetime. It was such an intimate gathering filled with all the love and friendship that Kyle so deserved. WE are all better people, left on this planet, for knowing him. He will be an angel within our hearts forever.
Kyle may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
We love you guys.
Thank you for a blessed and memorable day for Kyle.

Hey Gary Kristen,
Im so glad that you wrote that because I told Mike the same thing. I was so proud to call him Kyle's Dad on Saturday. He was strong. For us who know Mike, we all know how hard this has been on him, but more than that we all know how hard it was to get on that stage to say a few words. He also had enough class to remember to thank everyone for coming and their help.
So from me thanks for recognizing his strength.

FOR KYLE AND KASSI FROM MOM
What can I tell you about my son, Kassi's little brother.
Of course most of you already know Kyle was like no other.
Its hard to believe for most that his heart was bigger than his mens size 15 feet.
I have no idea how my two kids became so good, funny and so sweet.
How I regret every minute not spent with him.
Making him smile and seeing his stupid little grin.
God I hope he knows how I love him and was working to make things right.
My promise to Kassi is that no matter what I wont give up, I will still fight.
I dont think Ive seen a brother and sister so close,
they had no choice they have been through a lot, more than most.
Not having the most perfect parents, but they still had each other.
What is Kassi going to do, she is so lost without her little brother.
Everyone says that it takes time to heal,
but not for her or me, they just cant imagine how we feel.
Kyle is gone forever, he was everything to us.
How does that heal, it doesnt.
So we wake up everyday and do what we should,
and I heard sooner or later we just learn to deal.
Check in on us from time to time
I am asking you as a friend to make sure we are fine.
There are so many people out there we want to thank
I just hope these are favors we never have to repay, that your loved ones are good and God doesnt chose to take.
We love you guys, and thank you again, Im so glad to call you a friend of mine.

Angel- Here is Kyle's poem that you requested. God Bless You.
POEM:
Taken Too Soon
A young life taken too soon
Like a dark still night with no moon
One is stopped in mid-flight
For the young soul stolen one fateful night
Others left empty with no words to speak
Once strong and filled with life, now sallow and meek
One can say nothing to comfort one's heart
When one is taken too soon and forever apart
A father's grief like no other
A lonely sister and lost mother
A life taken too soon is all wrong
No words can describe this tragic song
One fateful day on the birth of our Lord
If anyone knew, no one would rush aboard
A destiny left in the desert's sand
A cold breezy wind, a comforting hand
Answers never given for questions screaming aloud
Only a family's remembrance of a child who made them proud
Friends gather to try to ease the pain
Nothing can until we see him again
Kyle Robert Przysiecki and angel above
Has left us all his precious memory and endless love
A kind, gentle young man with a fire for thrill
Never saw it coming, never new his bike could kill
A sudden ending to a life on a cold desert sand dune
A life forever missed and taken too soon.
RIP: Kyle Robert Przysiecki 4/8/90 - 12/25/05

Ch. 11 actually , but get me some concrete info (date, logistics, contacts, etc.) and I'll see what I can do from my end. IIRC Fox did some coverage a few years back about Glamis, I'll poke around and see what I can find.
That would be terrific!
Did we decide on a date? The weekend before is Easter so that wouldn't work out. But if anyone objects to the 22nd we could shoot for two weekends before, which I believe is when Kyle's birthday rememberance will be. Nothing wrong with combining the two since the point is to bring attention to our sport, children, safety, family and dedication.
Once we have a date the rest is easy.
Vicki
I WOULD LOVE IT IF IT WAS THE SAME WEEKEND THAT WE ARE CELEBRATING KYLE'S BIRTHDAY OUT THERE. WHAT A STATEMENT THAT WOULD MAKE. YOUR RIGHT IT WOULD BRING MORE ATTENTION TO SAFTEY, AND THIS BEING A FAMILY ORIENTED SPORT, WHICH I DONT THINK THE AVERAGE NON DUNERS UNDERSTAND. I WOULD LOVE TO GET INVOLVED AND HELP.
