I don't have it on my Raptor, but several weeks ago I rode with 3 guys who do.
They raced every quad that came up to the wall (comp hill) at Dumont and performed outstanding. Raced and beat every built quad out there.
They never got beat. The leader in performance in my book.
They're faster than they sound,, much faster.
They did more than just the bigger jug. Lots of other changes go with it.
Raptor big bore, stroke and super high RPM:perfect build platform.

The 727 kit is made by Trinity. Who makes the 747 kit?

If you go with the higher compression 727 you will have to run race gas, but my motor is a pump gas 727 and has only lost a couple of races the entire dune season. Bottom end and mid range? Those are incredible, it is the top end that is always a bit lacking on a Raptor and the big Stage II Hot Cams or a custom grind Web from Harry at Trinity will do the trick.
In order to get the full benefits of the 727 you will need to ditch the factory carbs and go with dual 35mm FCR's. A well tuned 727 from Trinity will beat 90% of the dune quads at Glamis on any given weekend.

Go North about 30,000 miles and you should run right into it.

Its about a 5 hour drive. The only way I would know how to get there from Vegas is to go along the Colorado river through Laughlin down the 95 (I think) until you hit Blythe. Than take the 10 west to :? ask someone from Arizona the rest. :roll2: I drive by land marks not numbers.
In a nut shell its not that far for you and its by the Arizona / Mexico boarders in CA.

Ok, according to Mapquest.com, it is 268 miles, or 7 hours from Las Vegas. In case you haven't before, go to mapquest.com, enter in Glamis Ca as a destination, then get directions, plug in Las Vegas NV and it will map it out for you. I'd check it against Yahoo.com also, and a regular map just in case. Cheers.

Vegas to Glamis...
Made that trip 6 times a year for the last 11 years! It's not as far as they say.
Take 95 South to I-40 go east to Needles they get on CA 95 South, when you get to Blythe take I-10 west exit on SR 78 just follow that all the way into Glamis. When you first leave Blythe you will be in farm land, there is a few stop signs and turns. (very easy though) Then you will get into the dessert area and before you know it your at the Beach Store.
Use to take me just over 4 hours, depends on your speed and the number of stops you make.
Well worth the trip...

Thanks all. The wife and I are looking to make a trip to Glamis. We are in the process of getting 2 Raptors. A friend of ours has an RV we could borrow and I will make sure we get a quiet generator so that we do not upset anyone.
Those of you that have Raptors, what can I expect??? What mods should I make???

Get a Banshee for you and get a Honda for your wife. Get a Raptor out of Cracker Jacks! :cheese:

Thanks for the advice all. Bansh, I had a Banshee and an LT5 and got rid of them both and now I really like the Raptor as does my wife. Plus she is a die-hard Yammie fan. One of her GF's just got a DS650 and she did not like albeit for the motor. She was like damn that has got some scoot.
