During these days the CA DMV and the CHP will be available at Cahuilla Ranger Station to register OHVs. Vehicle identification numbers(VIN) will be installed on newly constructed vehicles only. All other vehicles must obtain VIN verifications from local CHP office.
When: 9:00am - 3:00pm, November 23, 2002 & March 22, 2003. Be sure to arrive early; a line forms quickly. The DMV and CHP will leave at 3:00pm, line or no line.
Where: Cahuilla Ranger Station in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area. (Near the intersection of Gecko Road and SR 78) 760-344-3919.
Bring: All paperwork, receipts, and the vehicle. Back fees and penalties due to the CA DMV will not be waived.
