I like how my shocks look without them but should I run them.

Wouldn't they hold in any dirt that gets in creating more damage???

Doc, I use them just because I don't want my shock seals to go south on me. Rebuilds are something like a hundred bucks per shock.

But for a wealthy social light like yourself you shouldn't worry about it . LOL icon_biggrin.gif

HeyDoc,

I did a lil research and came up with some info, if you ride in conditions with particles that are very small i.e. Sugar sand or sand in general (West Coast) Shock booties are indeed recommended. Those on the East Coast where the particles are larger do nto have to fear a particle traveling underneath the shock seal as the seal acts as a skirt to prevent intursion. I hope this helps.
