I am trying to purty my engine up....Cant seem to find alot of options for my 3.2 Honda V-6. I heard Casey @ southwest performance has a pulley kit, but havent seen that yet.

I was thinking of polishing the intake and valve covers.

What have you done????

Hell, one would make it pretty too!! I like the supercharger idea if I could find an intake for it....

OK, thats the next thread...let purty this engine up some!!

Here is a pic of Mikey's old car "Wasabi"...it had a 3.2L V6 in it, but it looks as if it's an older model than yours....but the polished intake looks good

Coobie, the 3.2 is an Acura, not a Honda...I know...but the guy at the Acura parts counter yelled at me when I called it a Honda...

He asked me if a VW was the same as a Porsche???

Anyway, mine has the black plastic intake cover on it. Its nothign fancy but it does give it a diferent look...I like it that way. Im going to powdercoat the center peice if it can be done...

Im also lookign for "pretty" parts. At the sand show, a guy had a carbon fiber cover for it but it wa slike $500.00...no thanks...

I haven't found much of anything to dress these engines up either. I am in the process of polishing the intake cover and oil pan of my 3.5. Too bad these engines aren't in any of the "Tuner" cars - then we would have all kinds of things to choose from.

On a side note, what kind of radiator do you have and what size lines are you running to/from the radiator?

I just picked up a carbon fiber cover at SCU for my ls1 and it was only $ 175, not sure if its the same as the $ 500 model ?? but its what they are putting on their cars. They are made by someplace in SD.

Here is a picture that was posted on this board a few months ago of a Honda. If I remember correctly it was on a SU car.

Im running a Ron Davis radiator, I believe the lines in/out are 1".....The AN elbow measured 1.15" with a mic guage

Its a 2001 3.5 out of a Honda Oddesey. Stock, with added turbo of course. Intake was ground smooth, then polished, as well as the valve covers. Plastic belt covers were chromed. Most the fastners are polished stainless. I painted the block with standard automotive type paint (non high temp)and its working fine. I am so happy with this motor I can't begin to tell you. The power curve is amazing. I dune all day long in 3rd gear. No more shifting down into second at the base of a hill. Just give more gas and go. Awesome! JT

LOL, still a Honda, people get all huffy over the white collar brand names that are just dressed up blue collar cars. I buy any Acura parts I need at a Honda dealership since they are 99% the same. You should tell him that an Acura TL is a Honda Inspire in Japan.

I know a lil power secret. You can shove a 3.5 crank in a 3.2 or put 3.2 heads on a 3.5. Just don't do it with the type-s.

Painting the valve covers really helps.

Heck it says Honda right on the side...
I went to the honda dealer for a simple part...he said he didnt sell acura parts...
I said well, lets just call it a honda then...he insisted it was not a honda, it was an acura...thus, he had no parts for it...

So I went ot the Acura dealer, he had the parts..

When I asked him the difference between a honda and an Acura, he said "is a VW and a porsche the same thing?"

So I dont know, to me they are the same...but when looking for parts...the dealers get a little pissy...

That looks excellent. What's the advantage of 3.2 heads on a 3.5 botom end (and presuming block as well), higher compression, better flow, or ??

The older 3.5's are 9.4:1 comp and the newer is 10:1. The lower the comp the better it likes boost. (although I still only run 5lbs.) The 3.2's have the same cams and valve size as the newer 3.5's. So basicly I guess it's just a lower compression 3.5.

Stock ECU, but tweeked by Sand Cars Unlimited. Call Don and I'm sure he'll help you with particulars. As far as boost, around 8-9 lbs. JT
