Had a good time last weekend in spite of all the "great" things that happened. First of neither one off my rails wanted to run properly. Then on Sun this happened.
Was at comp hill at BC watching everybody play. After sitting for awhile thought I'd run the hill a time or two. Had seen a nice looking Banshee that was running the hill pretty good. Thought I might get beat but it would be close. He was running against a stock shee who he must of knew. I pulled up next to the stocker & waited for him to come around. He pulled up to my R then we were gone.

Mid to late whoops we were VERY close(laterally) & then I bounced off one into him.

Luckily we were even & hit wheels. I thought it was just in the F but I seen tonight my R rim is slightly bent so must of hit both. I shut down immediately then mid hill he turned around to come back to me. We asked each other if they were OK & then we went our seperate ways. I thought we had just "rubbed" a little & did not notice the damage to my quad till I got back on the flat. It was pulling bad so I got off to examine further. R F tire was bent in pretty bad(camber). It looked it was from a bent J arm. So my hill running was done & we headed back to camp. This all happened early afternoon so we got things ready to head home(had to wk Mon).
All this info is to explain the situ. I will take the majority of the blame for this incident, I call it 70% me, 30% him. As said I did bounce into him. At the bottom though he did line up pretty close to me(3-4'). Also I think he was drifting my direction slightly as we climbed.
The main thing about this is that no one got hurt.

I was wondering though if anybody seen this happen or know the guy I hit? It was at BC comp hill noonish on Sun 2/19. My bike looks to be just a bent J arm so the fix should be easy. I know the A arm setup is much stronger so I was hoping he did not have that much damage to his bike. Too nice of ride to be banged up.
I've been racing up that hill(& others) for over 15 years. This is the first time I've ever came in contact with another bike or even seen it. I was wondering if anybody else has ever hit or maybe came close? I think 7-8'(min) either side will be what I will stay from now on. Going 25-30 mph over 3' whoops it can be hard to keep your bike perfectly straight. Happy & safe® rideing to you.
