If you know of any Auto Body shops, they are a great source.
I found a few, ask around to see what shops do the nice work and what the basic rate is.
Here is a link to a bunch I found.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I was thinking that it would be better to powder coat it so i need some names of places in san diego. But if you have an opinion on how it should be painted, so the paint lasts while it gets blasted by sand, then let me know.

G, I wish I had a response, but you might want to post a question to those with sand rails.

There is a place on Pacific Highway called RW Little.
They do pant and power coat.

Yup, talk with Randy at RW Little ... he'll advise you.
FWIW, they applied two-part epoxy undercoat to my frame followed by a wet sanding and polyurathane paint for the finish coat ... looks awesome :!: :!: Really durable and it can be rubbed out if it dulls around the rear wheels (which mine hasn't yet).

You might want to check in the Sandrail Tech forum as I put up a thread for you in there as well.
Looks as if the concensus is "Powder Coating"

The prevailing trend is towards powder coating because it's easier to apply and has good coverage. What no one mentions is it doesn't keep it's gloss finish as well, can't be polished like a car can be, and the color varieties are more limited.
On the flip side, polyurathane paint is more durable, keeps the shine better and longer, can be polished with automotive paint maintenance products, costs a little more, the available colors are endless, but it does require a painter that knows how to paint frames (painting tubular steel is tricky) using automotive paints.
If I had to do it again, I would go with polyurathane again!

Probatively, what is the difference in costs??? IE, Powder v. Paint?
