I was dumping my trash Sunday afternoon at the Gecko dumpster when a green S10 with white fiberglass front flares pulled up piled to the roof of the cab with trash. A couple of guys got out and started dumping it. It turns out a music video had been filmed at Osborne overlook and the crew had left literally a truck load of trash up there. These guys had brought it all down in their truck to the dumpsters instead of leaving it there. Way to go fellas. That was alot of work and much appreciated by anyone who has picked up anything that wasn't theirs.

That is great to hear that they cleaned it up..

i'd like to say that coming over to our board and posting about this isn't going to do anything at all. the band doesn't read the forums, and our board is filled with the biggest assholes ever. that includes myself.

you have the band's e-mail address. please, instead of flooding our board with complaints about it, send an e-mail to the e-mail address you have.

to be honest, i don't give a shit about this whole situation. i came here on behalf of a board i frequent to tell you guys to use the e-mail address and keep it off our board.

sucks that your place got trashed, but we didn't do it, so don't bring it over there so we have to hear about it.

The intent of posting on 'your' board wasnt to complain. It was to make the bands fans and people that might be around them aware of a problem that we need to take seriously. Unfortunately it is the bands fault as well as the production staff. SLOBS!

I can go along with using the email address and taking this issue to the band. This guy is right, the fans don't care that their idols are a bunch of littering lowlifes. So be it. Maybe my original post over there was accurate. If the band doesn't read their board, then they are inconsequential to us and to their idols.

#1- the film crew was responsible for the mess..why not contact them oh wait i know why cause they don't have $$

#2- permits where issued to film the video, why not contact the person who took the money for the permits so they can contact who is resposible.

it all comes down to one thing $$$ so keep writing you emails and calling the band trashtones and lowlives

The Deftones are responsible because they are the contractors of the gig to begin with. They send out the checks to all the peeps who work for them. When they buy that permit, they agree to all the rules that go along with it. LITTER is one of those rules. with that said, the holder of the permit is the responsible party. The holder for the permit is Deftones Inc. Now I am sure there is intellengence somewhere out there that can identify in all of that who the responsible party is.

I think what we're asking is that you put yourself in our shoes. Here we are protecting something we love, just like you are protecting something you love (by coming here and defending the deftones). You would probably be the first in line to help them out if someone trashed their place. Glamis is our place, our passion. Just like you listen to their music for a release, we ride our dirt bikes for a release. Now you can't tell me that if someone threatened your passion you wouldn't do what you felt was right (even if others think it's wrong and pointless)to protect it..We're just a group of people protecting our passion, because unlike yours, ours may be gone quicker than we all want to see..

I actually appreciate your cander point of view. I didnt mean to imply all fans as I am sure MANY of them are off road inthusiasts. One incident for each person for each visit leads to millions of incidents each year in this park.

You see, This is just a small part of the big picture. When the Sierra Club comes and shuts your parks down from you or your kids riding their bikes because people were constantly trashing it, you will begin to have an idea what we have had to go through. After reading what Dust_Bunny had to say and since he spoke in english, I now understand his stance and now kinda feel what he is saying. He actually put a sentence together with out using some lame trashtones remark, you should all follow his suit. Going to a bands site and attacking their fans is not the smartest move if you want something accomplished.

Let it be known I also realize all you guys are not all like these tail pipe smokers that did this so I apologize to you. anyway maybe some day i will get too see the dunes!
