I just picked up the new Suzuki 4stroke LT Z50 quad. The quads rev limiter kicks in really early. Does anyone know how to get rid of the limiters?

It might not be the rev limiter. They put a few restrictor mods on it to keep the speed down. One is in the pipe and one is in the carb. The LT80 I bought had information in the manual about how to remove the stuff. It's fairly easy.

I hope your right I saw a couple other threads on another forum with people having the same problem and not being able to fix it like previous years two strokers. I dropped the quad off at CT Racing today. I'm not expecting to get a stock LT Z50 back. They do great work so I've got faith...

Did you try backing out the screw on the backside of the throttle a little?

There is a washer in the pipe that needs to be removed and there is a plug in the intake manifold that is pressed in. Heat up the manifold and us needlenose plyers to remove, then just bolt it back together and you kid is ready. Just like said ^^^^
Easy to do takes about 20min total.

That was the first thing I did. I even screwed it back in so I wouldn't hurt myself when I test road the thing. I can't handle the power of the all mighty LT z50... Just kidding.

thanks for all the help everyone. I will let you know how everything is going once I get the quad back. I'm having a pipe built as we speak. I can't wait to see the graphics kit being designed for it.

On my sons lta50 (2 stroke)it had the washer in the pipe. The dealer told me like 5 times about it when i bought.Got home let my son try it out he is 40 pounds the bike would not move on its own on the sidewalk. So i pulled it out that night now it moves him fine.I havent checked for the intake restriction yet i heard you usually have one or the other.
Power seems fine now at least for him icon_biggrin.gif
