I am planning on taking my 2000 banshee apart and chroming the swing arm and axle and nerfbars/pegs and getting the frame powder coated. What should i expect to pay. What is the best thing to do to the pipes? I heard chroming is junk on pipes but that is just what i heard.

I don't know bout the chrome, but I was going to spend 300 on powdercaoting my frame and arms (swing too), so it's not a bad price. As far as pipes, I saw Dean Sundahls pipes on one of his long travel banshee's, and he had toomey t5 anodized black and it looked sick. Only one's I've ever seen like that!

a quality chrome job on a swingarm could cost you about $200-300

I got a connection in El Centro who will get the quad powder coated any color you want and chrome just about anything on the quad with labor for around $500. The powder coat comes out perfect and to get the best results from chroming I would suggest polishing the parts before they go to the chromer.

MPR,

El centro is fine. I have several relatives that live there. When you say labor do you mean just drop off the bike and they do the rest? Let me know who i can contact that sounds like a good price.

My connection wants to know what color of powder coat you want and what parts you want chromed.
