Ya know, I fly a lot. My job requires it. And so does my GF.

When I fly I ALWAYS get a window seat. I love to look down upon our country from above. You know what? I see millions and millions of acres of land that is untouched by man. Virgin land, if you will. This virgin land is everywhere! Seeing this virgin land first hand on a regular basis makes me hate people like Bluesky even more. If someone were to believe BS and his type, off-roaders have taken over most of the land and destroyed it. I know for a fact this is not true at all. Not counting cities, towns, and farms, which humans NEED to survive, 99% of this country is UNTOUCHED by off-road vehicles. Prove me wrong Blu... I guarantee you can't!

how high does your plane fly? 30,000 feet? 6 miles? because you can't see OHV trails from 6 miles up you deny they exist?

Blu, you are so ignorant. As a life-long off-roader I can spot an OHV trail from 30,000 feet with ease. This is a FACT! I have bet you before, and I will bet you again. I bet a thousand dollars that I am correct and you are wrong. I will pay for your plane ticket and mine, we will fly together, and when you are PROVEN wrong you will reimburse me with both plane ticket fares and a thousand bucks. If you think you are SO right, this should be an easy bet for you to win, right? Let's do it then. I'm ready. You effen idiot. >:<

I too have flown in a plane. I have flown over land impacted with OHV trails. I have photographed these trails. From 3000 feet you can't even see them. You have to get down closer to see the spaghetti of interwoven user- proliferated routes.
Try using a satellite image site like terraserver. Locate over an area like Jawbone or Johnson Valley were you know there's millions of (legal) trails. Keep hitting the "enlarge" button until you can see the trails. These can't be seen from 30,000 feet even with 20X magnification.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time with you. Maybe I'm just bored. You just don't get it Blu. I'm talking about the millions of acres of land that don't even have an access road for miles and miles around. If there is no access road AT ALL anywhere near these remote areas, how can someone off load their OHVs? And btw, maybe your eyesite is bad, but I can see trails just fine from an airplane.
As for your last comment... I beg you to keep that up. In fact, call me every bad word you know. I would love for you to go off the deep end and get banned from this site.

our country is so criss-crossed with roads that the furthest you can get from a road in the continental US is 20 miles!

I'm sure others have caught the pattern by now...
The Troll disappears for a short time and when it returns it is much more lucid. Sentences gel better, some semblence of a thought process can be gleened from its posts. (my theory is the absence is caused by adjustments to medication or possibly electric shock).
But after just a short time, whatever magic was worked in its absence starts to wear off. It becomes increasingly more hostile, baiting its traps with stronger insults.
Just when you're sure it's about to go too far and do something that will get it banished it *poof* disappears again for a brief respite.
And the pattern repeats.

Hmmm. This post is for all my GD.com friends, and not a certain troll. I flew from Phoenix to Orange County, CA today. I paid special attention to what I could or could not see from the plane at cruising altitude. I could tell the difference between the street and the sidewalk. I could see the yellow lines painted on the paved highways (but not the concrete freeways, it blended in too well). So I guess I was right. If I can see the yelllow lines on a highway from 30,000 feet, I can certainly see a trail in the desert or in the mountains.

KG, would it be possible to a camera with you and snap a few photos for those of us who are ground bound. it would be interesting to see the view your privileged to. As for *******, you have to take his conclusions with a grain of salt as I'm sure your aware of.

Anyways just thought I'd ask! Later and remember, enjoy the weather!

dezfan, I did in fact take a few photos from the plane today. Unfortunately, there was extreme cloud cover for most of my flight, so I couldn't get the pictures I was hoping to get. But rest assured, I will get them on the next trip that is not hampered by clouds.

Hey Doug, remember when we went up to Sand Mountain Nv, last Memorial Day?
We had this conversation as we looked out upon miles and miles of un spoiled (by hiking/riding/horse trails) all across Nevada and Cali desert's.
"Where's all the trails BS is always talking about. There sure is tons of open space..."
BS just needs to get out more. Leave the city, drive up the 395, cut over east at Bishop. The '6' then take the '360' to the '95' and up through Gabbs. Then west to SM. What you say? No trails anywhere for miles throughout this area?
Why is that?
It's because BS and his kind spread Bull Sheiot across America.

Baghdad Bob was a paid editorialist for a government that was happy to use the natural resources of its country for the personal happiness of the few who ran it.
KingGlamis is another of these paid editorialists who would be happy if all the available land (the natural resources of our country) was dedicated to the use of the vehicles which provides him with his living (his personal happiness).
