I have a stock 2.5 and i split my oil line this weekend that runs to the remote oil filter. What is the oil presure suppose to be on a stock 2.5?
I have a mech. gauge that reads 60+ PSI at start-up but after it warms up a bit it runs 40+psi. Is this normal?
While i was out this weekend i did change the oil filter and new oil(since most of it came out when the line split). I was running Mobile one but now (what i had) i'm running valvoline (sp) 10-30. It seems to be fine now but i just want to be sure.

my subi gets up to like 70-90psi at start up and then anywhere from 35-65psi after warm depending on rpm.

Running Valvoline Racing 20-50, 75psi @ idle cold, 45 psi @ idle hot, 70+ psi while in the gas. Hope this helps.

Jason, you might try mobil 1 15-50. I put 10-30 in mine one time for breakin oil, and the oil pressure was on the low side.

The problem i thought i was having was oil presure was too high.................I guess not.
This will be the last weekend and summertime tune-ups start.

Thanks for the help
