my 96 shee has trinity stage 2 porting, pro circuit pipes, boyesen reeds, reed spacers, and i just put on K&N clamp on filters with 310 jets. when i rev it up, the left pipe has little visible smoke and the right has considerably more. It seems to run fine. is this a real concern? Or does it just happen? thanks.

You can do a dime-store compression test by using your hand to see if the exhaust force is roughly the same on both sides. If one side seems to blow noticeably harder than the other, you should probably have the compression checked.

This happened to a friend of mine on his '92, and it ended up needing top end work due to sand getting past the air cleaner. :bomb: :roll2:

This may be way off, but maybe you should try changing the spark plugs. I had that same type of problem on my 96 Banshee and I changed the plugs, it seemed to be fine after that. It's worth a try.

another thing to kkep in mind is that if you have exhaust leaks IE. pipe to silencer not sealing right will affect how much one pipe smokes more than the other. Compression testing is a good way to find out the condition of your top end

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. My pipes have a leak in the back. i think its leaking out of one of the allens on the front of the silencer. i'll try tightening it, when i find my set of allens..... :|

you can use some heat bond and place a dab on the thread, and then re-tighten it. It will seal the hole but not act as a Thread lock.

I just got home from Glamis last night and it didn't seem to leak all weekend, and the smoke was pretty even. I already replaced one of those pipe hangers on the front and I think the other one is going , making me leak from the front and my pipe to shake a bit. some of the allens were loose and my leak at the silencer is gone. thanks a lot guys.
