I don't know. I am good with computers to get myself in just enough trouble to not be able to figure it out.
I set up a wireless network and it was working fine, but now the internet is S O S L O W!!! Worse than dial up!!! I called Cox and they had me do the same stuff I already tried. My boys are pissed and I'm confused blink.gif

Try unplugging the power to the router for about 30 seconds first

did that

Do you know how to read "msconfig"????

I'm TOPS at reading anything, tell me where to find it

Right click on the bar at the bottom, then pick "task manager"....then click on "performance" CPU usage should be less than 3%.....if you're just runnin the internet

With just the internet on mine is 3% or less. I disable eerything on start up. If I want them on I click on the icon. Don't need all that crap runnin "all the stuff in the lower right toolbar"

With just the internet on mine is 3% or less. I disable eerything on start up. If I want them on I click on the icon. Don't need all that crap runnin "all the stuff in the lower right toolbar"

Gotcha… Makes good sense to me… Unfortunately, I have a s*** load of programs that I have to use for my business and it is easier to let some of them come on during start up. But that’s ok, because my laptop can handle it. It better, for the money…

But if not, I would do the same as you… peace.gif
