Im in the process of starting to build sandrail chassis as a side job and would like to know what it is that you guys look for? Ive seen some with real nice welds, but I dont think they have enough filler metal or enough penetraion. All my welding will be done with a Tig welder.

Hard to judge from photos, but yes, weld quality is important..

all of the cars i have sold it is one of first things people look at mostly the guys.. they go ight to the welds and they want to see a clean pretty bead...it seems some it makes or brakes it.. i think funco does some of the best.. i have never seen a funco brake becuase of a bad weld on the shock mount.. i was at sweet maries and he told me he has NEVER rewelded a funco shock mount..
