I fought this for 20yrs with my VW. I came to the conclusion it can't be fixed. I tried everything people told me, with no success. Fast Freddies in Santa Ana seems to know the most about Webers, but everything they suggested didn't seem to help much. The problem is worse with 48IDAs, that's why I went to 44's, which was better, but still loaded up on the rough stuff. The only true fix is EFI.

I gave up and went with a Subaru with EFI. sweet.
