I thought I would post this over here with the rest of our fallen brothers and sisters for FasterDaddy.....
Im sitting here speechless over this letter we just recieved in the mail today.

Dear Kambrea.
My name is Alissa Vuola. My husband was the firefighter who was off duty that helped your daughter the night of your accident.
I first want to thank you so much for sending Phil your kind letter. I am writing this letter to let you know that Phil passed away on April 4th 2006. We were on vacation just the two of us in Henderson , NV and he passed away in his sleep. Phil was only 38. We have two beautiful children and a third on the way. Our baby is due in July.
When we recieved your letter I read it too. It made Phil feel good that your daughter still remembered him. Like your daughter, our son will never forget that night. He still says, "Mommy I will always remember when Daddy took the little girl out of the car so she wouldnt be scared." He was so proud of his Daddy that night. Your tragedy turned my sons "hero memory" of his Dad. Maybe it is true that everything happens for a reason. We may not know the reason for a long time, but eventually God shows us. I do not know why my husband was taken from us, but I know one day God will show us.
In your letter you said that you were so gratefull for the angles that surrounded you that night. I believe Phil is our Angel watching over us now. I want you to know that he never forgot about you or your daughter. We'd often talk about you and your daughter and hoped you were recovering well.
You were right, life is too short. We all need to stop and say we love you to family and friends more often.
Thank you for your gratitude to my husband. I will treasure your letter always. I will show it to his unbornson when he is old enough to understand that his Daddy is a hero.
God Bless,
Alissa Vuola"
