I went into a coating place for work yesterday. They do anodizing, nickel seal and teflon coating. I asked the guy to nickel seal my cylinder and piston and he said that the teflon coating is WAY better. Anyone know anyone that's done this? He says they teflon coat all the race pistons and even the pistons for those semi truck racers. Says that it'll make my piston last a lot longer and protect the crap out of it. The teflon was SMOOTH. I can see that if the piston is so smooth and even the cylinder is that smooth, there should be very, very little friction.

most of the coatings out there are junk.........but not all i have had a process on my pistons for yrs......allows you to run a tighter tolerance as well, mine used to be a hard anodize but now its something a little different, if i remember right its ceramic as in exhaust ceramic coated on the dome and dry lube on the side

call jeff @embee performance coatings 714-546-6907 tell him i sent you
