I bought sealed switches from http://www.thelighthouseinc.com/asp/default.asp in Phoenix. Have never bought from the website but my receipt shows part number C/H 5582-10 toggle switch. The little rubber boot that screws on the top is C/H81264. This gives you a high quality totally sealed switch. Also depending on draw on your fans and fuel pump you should run relays vs. running through the switch. Here are some pics of my switchbox. (The red one is the push button for the starter. This is a heavy duty Cole Hersee switch part number C/H90043-07)

Switches don't normally have a ground wire, just power-in and power-out. The ones you say are wired in series sound like the power-in. A lot of people run a heavy gauge power wire into the box and then use pig-tails across all the power-in sides of the switches.

Are they lighted? some have a extra lug for the light?
Are you running relays or circuit breakers?
They could be cutting out on you, or your switches could be overheating from the load?

High draw items like lights and fuel pump and fans should be on a relay, that way the switch doent take the load. If you dont want to go through all that, you might want to try these switches from Del City, they have a 50 amp rating a die cast body and a sealing boot.

50 amp toggle switch

My local speed shop carries the sand seal switches. I use relays on everything, that way you have very little power in the dash.

The triple sealed switches are typically from K-Four. Here's their site.

.......plus no bounce at the switch, helps keep the fuses intact

Hey thanks everyone!! i think that part of my problem is the old switches are rockers instead of toggles. so today i went and got some toggles and some boots to go over them for now. well right now is prime season here i have had it just over 2 weeks now and already been to the dunes with it for 2 weekends and if i can work out some more bugs i hope to be out agan this weekend monkeedance2.gif .

but right now im not running any relays i think its just all directly wired in for now. later in the season im going to change the upper end and i have the wiring harness and injectors all ready to run 21# of boost drummer.gif . i just want everything fixed before i go and do that. and learn to drive better lol.

but before i burned up my turbo it was running strong at 14# of boost!! 1dude.gif . all i can say is what a blast!! last weekend it was running great and i know being a newby im still learning so i dont break things. i already found out that bus CV's dont like much power so u have to always be easy on the clutch icon_sad.gif lol.

ohh and any other driving advice is always very welcome turby.gif . i have untill november to have all the bugs worked out so im ready for thanks giving in glamis!!! yay.gif
