158 IS A LITTLE BIG, PULL A PLUG AND SEE IF IT IS WET. START AROUND A 150 AND SEE IF IT STARTS. WHY DID YOU CHANGE FROM THE MIKUNIS??

NO WAY FOOL! YOU CAN FINE TUNE A MIKUNI WAY MORE THAN A KEIHIN. MIGHT SELL MY KEIHINS AND GO BACK TO MIKUNIS OR GO LECTRONS

158's are way to big. Like Dune said, try some 150's or even 148's.. Im running 155's in my 420 stroker, so you are definetly too big there.
But that should not keep it from stating, unless its so rich youve wet the plug. Are you holding the throttle open at all when trying to start. If you are, dont, you may be getting too much gas in the cylinder that way.
Will it pull start?

Never knew anybody who could get a mikuni to run right. Keihins work great right outta the box. The 39 I put on my 250R 3 wheeler did. Lectrons appear to be the way to go, especially if you run alky. I know a guy who can get you a good deal on them. I think they might come to you ready to run. All you need is to give them some info.
