The first time I saw that on TV, I wonderd why thae boats had roll bars. Then I saw one go off the course and it became painfully obvious

That is truely bad ass. I love watching that type of racing. Probably one of the most intense types of racing there is. I would pay $100 for a one minute ride like that.

It can be done, but not with the new long travel cars. I had a car back in the middle 70's that I could drive without using the steering wheel. It was an 80 inch wheelbase car with a corvair rear engine. It was a blast as it had a center mount jaymar steering brake. We had fun as we would let the passenger work the brake as the driver would control the throttle and foot brake. Oh yeah it would get your heart pumping as you had to antisipate what the other person was going to do.
You talk about a slalom car, it would spin in circles, make sharp 90 degree turns under power and was a heck of alot of fun. kg.gif

Did the motor stall for a moment or did he hit something under the water or what?

I still think the other guy is a more talented/faster driver!
