If you're going to spend $40K I certainly wouldn't be looking that kludge of car. The ad states it has only been driven a few times, and now he wants to sell it? Obviously he's ridden in another car and realizes how messed up the car is in the handling dept. Those front wheels look pretty funky, mag wheels? Kinda small for the weight of a V8 car. And who knows if his trans ratios are appropriate for that car. Anything is possible since it's apparently a home brew setup. This car would eat it for lunch.

The guy said he builds and sells them as a hobby--that's why it's been driven only a few times. But you are right, unless you talk to an unbiased driver, you never know what you are going to get.
