Should I powdercoat the aluminum frame, or just use some elbow grease on it? It needs attention, I'm thinking a nice powdercoat job would like kinda sweet.

what about aluminum anodizing. Have you seen the work they do on paintball guns, that would look sick on a frame.

Powdercoat always looks great, but are you really going to see it enough to make it worth it?? If you just want to clean it and make it look like new you can give it an acid wash. We used to do it all the time at my old job, I forget exactly the process, but basically I think it's straight acid or maybe a mix with water in a spray bottle and scrub the frame with a scotch brite pad, something like that at least. Just be sure to neutralize the acid with soap when you're done. Maybe someone has more info on this and will chime in...

One other little secret is the purple scotch brite pads will polish the aluminum to a mirror finish, looks really nice on the trim around the cowl and the braces for the windshield and rear top supports. Takes a little elbow grease though.

quick, cheap and easy route you can wire brush it with a corded drill and go that route, you can spray clear on it to help keep it from oxidizing also or aluminum polish
