hey gang,

Anyone here have experience with Sam Coe and his porting abilities? I'm building a 400ex to a 416 with hotter cam and was thinking about doing porting also.

Do I really need porting or not?? :?:

He did a great job on my DS650.

did a great job on my banshee. I haven't heard a single complaint about any of their work

Thanks Calds650 and sicaz shee,

anyone else?? Does porting really make that much of a difference? I would think so due to the price, but I'm not sure...any help on that one?

On a 400 thumper for the price it'll cost, it won't make that much of a difference

put the money into the suspension on that thing if you haven't already. No matter what you do to that bike you won't win any races but do some a-arms and shocks front and back and you'll keep up with alot of bikes.

Sicazz shee,

I already have: +2 a arms, Works triples w/ rezzie, +4 axle and rear shock re-valve/re-spring. $1600 or so in suspension mods...need more power now. Some say all the new power will come from the cam and porting...some say different.

I need to make sure before I look to dump $350 or so, on a minimal gain, if any. And as far as winning races, I'm not into that. Everyone knows a Banshee beats a 400ex....big effen deal, just need more power due to my big azz.

the porting will make a big difference with the right cam and carb and pipe. almost all the top guys 86 the stock carb on the ex when going to a bigger bore.
