any long term feedback? I searched and read through the +'s and the -'s, but not a lot of input as to how these really hold up over time.
I know I really don't need a bunch of gauges, but after buying just a couple of good ones you are really close on price..
Thanks

The Manfacturer comes on here.
I heard it can be hard to read in the sun?

Sorry to hijack the thread but....
We use the Racepak dashes and they work great. The LCD screen is easy to read in the sun and it's also backlit for after dark. The ones from UMI are very easy to install and come pre interfaced into the engine harness. All you have to do is plug it in to the back of the dash. The power and data inputs are already built in to the harness. They include tach, oil pressure, fuel pressure, voltage, water temp and a speedometer that can be hooked up to a front wheel via a mag sensor.
Yes they are expensive, but well worth it. Expect to pay $1000 to $1500 depending on the seller and accessories...

I use the intellidash and love it! We have 2 cars in our group and no complaints. Very easy to read day or night and the look is very clean. The customer service at Remarkind ind. is top notch as well. Larry is very friendly and very technical about his product.

just mount it straight up and down and under the hood panel or a lip of some sort if you can and you won't have to worry about glare...

Thanks for the suggestions. I loooked into those after reading all the posts on digital gauges, but i just can't afford it. If I had a little more space, I'd probably stick to just a few gauges, but I don't want a dash, and I don't want to use those guage pods/clamps either....

We have about six cars in our group that use the Intellidash, no complaints and no reported problems. The oldest car is going on the fourth season.
As far as being hard to read in direct sunlight I haven't experienced any problem and actually mine is mounted in a sheet metal dash pod which leaves part of the front bezel and display fully exposed. I do have a roof panel though so its only in direct sunlight part of time. Now that I think about its never been an issue being able to read the display when I'm out on a ride hmmm.... I'll pay closer attention when the sun is hitting it directly next time.

Damn yoshi, can you possibly put anything else on the front dash ?? Sure seems like it could be distracting to look over to the GPS and intellidash.

it runs around 1k with all the sending units. it is all solid state I have installed one and it has done great for 3 years. take a look at there website the have alot of cool stuff. It is geared towards hot rods.
I can tell you the bigest thing from going to analog gauges to digital is you are so used to glansing at the pointers when you have a bunch of digital read-outs it can be distracting for a while untill you get used to them.

thanks for the feedback...I'm going to try this. Already took the AM gauges back
I stopped by Johnson's Bug Machine today, and they said they could have one for me by Wednesday probably, but they are right about at the same price as ordering online...
I don't mind paying $400 for it, but it'd be nice to pay $300...anyone know someone off-loading one or anyone that has a hook-up on one?

Hey guys,
I know I'm late for getting on the ball of this one and since we are the manufacture of the IntelliDash, I figured that I would stay out of the thread and let you guys talk it out. Just wanted to throw a thank you out there for all of the positive feedback on the product. If anyone has any question, comments, please feel free to contact us via phone or through our website.
Hope everyone enjoys the ride season, ours is just coming to a close here in the next few weeks.
Take it easy,

Jason, have you come up with a way to mount the speedo targets to the outsie of a 930 cv yet? My cv boots cover the intire cv, so i cant use the bolts for the pick up targets. SG

Intellidash seems like a decent piece... I haven't had the opportunity to wire a car with one of these yet to tell you how the install goes.
I have done about 3 or 4 racepak's. As far as wiring they are pretty simple when you get the unit that comes with it's own senders. These seem to work very well, and IMHO are more visually appealing than the intellidash. We have had problems with the ones that are supposed to be a direct Plug-And-Pray with a Delphi MEFI-4, but those were programming issues.
Personally, I prefer old-school gauges.

Wiring is pretty simple on the IntelliDash. Basic 10 pin connector on the backside, typical installation will use 7-8 of them, depending on the alarm outputs you have setup at the time. Very minimal draw on your electrical system, using 16-18 gauge wire.
We did update the style of our current system with the new Billet Series, aluminum cases, allowing for panel mount or standard, along with anodized colors.
Let me know if you have any questions, we would be happy to answer them.
