I swam with the sharks a few years back.. They only come in once a year so make sure its happening first.
Also thats in LaJolla which is a ways from down town. I know the train stops N. of there but its still gonna be a cab ride to the cove or LaJolla shores where you can swim with them.
Have to tell ya though - Its mind numbing swiming around 1000s and 1000s of sharks. Most of them are around 3-4 foot range with the bigger ones a bit deeper around 5 feet long..

Never heard of the Kayak tour and Im assuming its in the same place..

Sea Port Village is a great time. If ya got kids Balboa park is fun also. Sea World if you dont mind the crowds. Best thing San Diego has are its beaches.. icon_biggrin.gif

• Seaport Village - Lots of great shops to cruise through and lots of cool joints to grub/snack at.
• Harbor Excursion - 1 and 2 hour tours around the harbor. Great scenery, interesting facts, snacks on board.
• Dinner Cruises - aboard the Hornblower Cruise Ships around SD Harbor
• Gaslamp District - Lots of cool restaurants/bars. Lots of interesting shops. Killer night life.
• Ferry ride to Coronado Island - Cost is only a buck or two.
• Tour Hotel Del Coronado.
• Silver Strand Beach on Coronado
• Horton Plaza (Huge Outdoor mall) - a few blocks from Seaport Village
• Old Town (Great history, lots of great Mexican Food/Margarita joints.
• Mission Bay

Just a few of the things we like to do when down in SD.

Good luck!

We were just there and had a killer time. We went to sea port village and it was cool i highly suggest taking the uss midway tour it was cool just plan on 2-3 hours for that. The beaches were great also!

They also have a maritime museum right by the midway we did not go but it looked cool. You can go into a sub and an old school sailing ship(forgot the name) might be worth checking out.

The Old ship is the Star of India.. Its an awesome tour also.. Lots of info on how people traveled across the atlantic.. The conditions and length of the trip would make most sick..
