any one know what i could do cheap to get more power from my banshee i got pipes jetting and all that stuff i was thinkin mabee a coolhead and pickup my compression a little bit or get the stock head milled how much can i raise it without puttin too much stress on the bottom end i know i willl probably have to run vp what about V force reed valves any ideas appreciated

YOU CAN BUMP UP TO ABOUT 210LBS OF COMPRESSION. VP IS OVER RATED. LOONEY DUNER CHECKED OUT A BATCH OF VP C12 AND THE OCTANE RATING WAS UNDER A 100. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE 108. 76 RACE FUEL IS ALWAYS CONSISTENT AND LESS EXPENSIVE.

like how much would i get my head milled would tyhat totally stress my bottom end uhh how is F&L race gas is it good or bad ? no strokin i want a reliable bike

first of all run 310 main jets in your carbs, its a huge difference

Stroke it, blaster robs, shorter pistons and override about $400 but I would have to check back with a friend of mine.
Run 76 gas its alot cheaper just check out nascar and see what they run.

do a coolhead that way you can have the option of running pump gas when you want to. Also consider a degreee key or an adjustable timing plate cover.

I had my head milled 40 thndths, and ran fnl 110 mixed 50/50 with 91. I also had dean sundahl do a full port job and ran 330 mains, and it flat hauled ass. I spent $500 for the prot work and $40 for the mill job.

UNless your talking a super discount, no way he is getting a stroker crank, rods, and an over ride tranny for $400. if So, where do I send my next motor??

Anyhow, shave your head -.040's (forty thousandths) advance your timing +4 and lighten your flywheel. You should get this done for under 140 total, and it really makes a difference. You DONT need to run race gas that way.

You use the stock crank. Buy only rods and pistons.

THATS NOT BUILDING A STROKER. TO BUILD A STROKER CRANK YOU NEED TO MOVE THE BIG END PIN ON THE CRANK OUT TOWARDS THE EDGE OF THE CRANK WHEELS. IT JUST DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH YOU WANT. I HAVE A SEVEN MILL. SITTING ON MY WORK BENCH NOW JUST WAITING FOR MY NEW CASES.

Thanks for explaining that DUNE!!! A stroker motor is a great way to get torque out of a Banshee, my set up(7 mm stroker) is a dune bike and i love it, but its not cheap. Then again, my cheap may not be your cheap. So like I said in my first post. its the biggest bang for the buck, and
IS cheap!
