Have had two sets of them on my car for a full season and no problems here, work great for me...
AlpineSandToys.com
I ran a set on a car last season with no problems. My new demo car has three lights and one of them went out (ballast) after about 1 hour of use. We have several cars out there with these lights and I'd say we've had a couple issues with the ballasts, but nothing excessive. They're bright as hell and much less expensive then other lights....not to mention the light-wieght.

I'd like to try the Bajadesign lights that just came out to compare them.

They are Chinese made copies of the Acros.Less quality internals but all Acro parts are direct replacement.
And they come standard on the Extreme cars being sold by Sandblastermotorsports.Which he states are one of the best cars out there and thats why they cost so much ifly.gif hunter.gif 1cheff.gif
Seriously though, call Acro for new lenses, fairly cheap and easy to replace.

I had a problem with one of the eagle eye lights on my last car. I called them they said ship it back to them, they fixed it and shipped it back at no cost. try calling them.

King,

Give me a call and I will get you some lights to try. I talked to Bob about this last week.
We are thinking about dedicating about 25 lights for people to "try before you buy" so for those of you
who would like to try out our new lights just e-mail me. All we are going to ask in return is that you
tell people what you think, good, bad or indifferent.

thanks for the info

Glamisspider,

The idea is to let people try them for a weekend so they can see the difference in our lights compared to
other lights they have used. There is no obligation to buy the lights. If you decide to buy our lights you will get
new ones not the demo lights.

Thanks,

Is the mounting bolt the same diameter as the laser stars.
My tube is threaded and the lights screw into them?

The mounting bolt is 3/8-24 thread but we can use a differant bolt if we need to. Does anyone know
what size bolt the Lazerstar uses?

Thanks,

I was told by the guy who ran McCullogh(sp) that all the housings are made in china. Including the ACRO ones. He sells either version through his web site at suvlights.com. ACRO uses a two piece ballast and he still uses the one piece ones like Hellas. He said that if I really wanted the ACRO lights he would send the lights to me with their ballast and covers. Aparently the two piece ballasts have been less reliable than the one piece ones.

Tex, thanks for the offer, we talked about this at the show. I'm pretty sure Bob wants to try them on his car. He was running some new external ballast lights on his ride and the stator couldn't keep up. We have several cars out there with three Eagle Eye HID's and two Trial Tech HID's (my car being one of them) and the stator seems to keep up without problems. We'd like to see what kind of a draw your lights will take on our cars. Give Bob a call, maybe you can get them to him before we leave for the dez Friday.
